Sunshine, stories and circuits

We have had a lovely week here in school with beautiful sunshine and happy playtimes. Children have enjoyed using some of the new playground equipment which was installed in response to a pupil voice survey.

Willow Class have been enjoying transport stories in class this week and the Year 1 children were doing some super writing with adjectives. Reception children had a wonderful afternoon at forest school yesterday and I was privileged to join them. I think they enjoyed splashing me 'accidentally'!

Hazel Class are working on their new Tudors topic. They have been learning about Henry VIII and reading a book called The Boy and The Globe. They also enjoyed a science lesson building electrical circuits.

Oak Class went swimming this week and impressed us with their resilience. They are also working hard to put together some stop frame animation films.

Please remember to apply sun cream in the mornings and wear sun hats when the weather is warm. Children also need to bring their water bottles into school and will be encouraged to drink regularly and refill bottles when needed.
