Shining our light in the sunshine

It has been a hot and busy week here at St Birinus.

Willow Class got to hold the chicks at the beginning of the week. This was a new and fascinating experience for some of our children. It was heart-warming to see how gentle and kind they were when handling live animals.

Hazel Class have been writing fantasy stories and comparing masses in maths. They've also been learning about daily life in Tudor times.

Oak Class have been particularly busy this week. Alongside rehearsing for their show, they have been to Stonehenge for the day. We are really proud to say that their good behaviour and extensive knowledge about stone age Britain was commented on by people who work at Stonehenge. Well done.

We also took Year 5,6 and a few Year 4 children to a cricket festival in Abingdon. They played brilliantly, took themselves out of their comfort zones and coped really well with the heat.
