Science, sport and treasure trails

It gives me great pleasure to share our news with you this week as lots has been going on across our little school.

Reception did some science about freezing and melting earlier in the week. We froze plastic animals in ice and enjoyed melting the creatures out of the ice again.

Year One and Two took the science a step further and looked at what happens to foods when they are cooked; making biscuits and melting chocolate.

Hazel Class joined Oak Class in the Abbey on Tuesday where they experienced an Abbey treasure trail; finding out about all sorts of aspects of the Abbey, they looked in detail at the fascinating Last Supper Sculpture, and the children created their own mosaics.

Yesterday afternoon Oak Class took part in a tag rugby tournament. They played games with enthusiasm and joy and demonstrated some brilliant sporting behaviour. Well done everyone!
