Reflecting on a productive week

In the busy run up to Christmas, it can be easy to lose sight of the important things and I am always grateful for this weekly opportunity to reflect on the learning that goes on throughout our school.

Although the younger children have been spending time practising for their show, they have also been learning lots about Christmas traditions. They've written letters to Santa, learnt about St Nicholas (and even found sweets left in their shoes) and have made Christingles.

Hazel Class have been learning about female explorers this week and have enjoyed finding out about people such as Mary Anning. They are also working especially hard to learn their times tables.

Oak Class were really sad that the tag rugby tournament was cancelled today but they had a lot of fun coding some new BBC Microbits instead. They have also been doing some exciting writing based around their book - 'Street Child'.
