Planning , poems and pirates!

It is still incredibly busy here in school as we head towards the end of the school year. There is so much going on and children are really working incredibly hard to finish the year strong.

Oak Class have really stepped up as they are rehearsing their show; planning their costumes, learning their lines and singing beautifully. Our Year 6 children are really demonstrating to us that they are ready for secondary and most of them have now attended some transition days at their new schools.

Hazel Class have been looking at poetry this week. They've been learning about the language features in some of the poems from the book 'The Lost Words'. They should be able to tell you where the name 'dandelion' comes from.

Willow Class Year 1s and 2s have been rewriting the Night Pirates story with a different setting. Reception children went to forest school this week and had a wonderful time splashing in the water.
