Busy children

Children have been really busy this week after a restful half term.

Reception children have been doing their drawing club based on The Three Billy Goats Gruff. They have really impressed me with their reading and writing skills and we can really see the impact of the phonics they have been learning.

Year 1 and 2 children had a lovely day out yesterday to the Royal Festival Hall to watch and listen to the London Philharmonic Orchestra perform a musical story; Stan and Mabel. The children were really well behaved and joined in enthusiastically with the performance. They really were a credit to our school. Well done everyone!

Hazel Class have been considering Anglo-Saxon leaders. They are looking at non-fiction writing this term and planning a fact file.

Oak Class have started a new science unit based on 'Space'. They have demonstrated a real thirst for learning and have lots of questions that they are going to try and find the answers to.
