What a fabulous day we had at school yesterday. The day was kick-started by a wonderful interactive assembly from the Open the Book team.
Children were then filmed for ‘Choir for the Queen’ and we enjoyed our Jubilee lunch outside with some music. It was super to be joined by Pre-school for lunch and some playtime afterwards. We had music, dancing, flags, masks, crowns, stickers, a lovely lunch (Thanks Gemma) and lots of fun was had by all. It was great to see so many smiling faces.
Towards the end of the day we had an amazing surprise as the Puma helicopter from RAF Benson included us in their Jubilee fly-past. The country dancing and the Maypole dancing was a joy to watch and the children should be proud of what they’ve achieved. We must also make a special mention of our brilliant musicians – Nola, Rose, Olga and Cressida – who have worked so hard to learn and play the National Anthem. Well done everyone!
